Introducing the Yellow Dragon Fruit, a gem from the Selenicereus family. This exotic fruit stands out with its vibrant yellow skin and unique thorns, a characteristic not found in its Hylocereus counterparts. The fruit is petite, typically weighing between half to three-quarters of a pound.

The Yellow Dragon Fruit is a winter delight, maturing from late November through February. Its taste is unparalleled, often described as the sweetest and most flavorful among all dragon fruits. A unique feature of this variety is its self-pollinating nature, which means it can bear fruit independently.

The plant thrives in full to partial sunlight and grows to a moderate height of 4-6 feet. It’s a spectacle in itself when it blooms, boasting some of the largest flowers in the cactus family.

Native to the northern regions of South America, the Yellow Dragon Fruit is also known by several other names including Yellow Pitahaya, Kirin Fruit, and Yellow Pitaya. This fruit tree is an excellent addition to any garden, promising a bountiful harvest of delicious fruit and a unique aesthetic appeal. Add the Yellow Dragon Fruit to your collection for a taste of the extraordinary!
